The Vital Importance of Our Young People: Fearlessness, Resilience, and the Lifeblood of Our Struggle

Our young people are not simply participants in our movement—they are its very lifeblood. Their presence, energy, and vision are indispensable to the survival and evolution of our struggle. It is their fearlessness and resilience that breathe new life into our organizations, ensuring that our ranks do not stagnate but continue to grow, adapt, and ultimately prevail.
Young people bring with them a wellspring of new ideas and unbridled enthusiasm. They are unburdened by the cynicism and fatigue that can weigh down veterans like ourselves. Their willingness to question, to innovate, and to challenge the ruling order is not a threat to our struggle—it is its greatest asset. Without their creative energy, our struggle would become rigid, repetitive, and ultimately irrelevant.
To truly support them, we must be genuine with them. They can sense when they are being patronized or manipulated, and nothing will drive them away faster than false praise or empty rhetoric. We must engage them honestly, listen to their concerns, and value their contributions. This means creating spaces where they can lead, make mistakes, and learn—spaces where their voices are not just heard, but heeded.
It is not enough to simply welcome young people into our organizations; we must actively push them to be better than us. Our task is to equip them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to surpass our own achievements and understanding. We must challenge them to think critically, act boldly, and never settle for the limitations that many have accepted. In doing so, we ensure that the revolution does not end with us, but is carried forward with even greater strength and clarity.
And let’s be clear: the fearlessness of them is not recklessness—it is the courage to imagine a different world and the resilience to struggle for it, even in the face of setbacks and opposition. Our young people remind us that change is possible, that defeat is not inevitable, and that the future is still unwritten. Their resilience in the face of adversity is a testament to the enduring power of hope and the unbreakable will of those who refuse to be broken.
If our struggle is to be victorious, it will be because they have taken up the mantle and carried it further than we ever could. Our responsibility is to nurture their growth, support their leadership, and trust in their ability to qualify our struggle into a revolution that is truly unstoppable. The future belongs to the fearless—and it is our young people who will lead us there.
We must also remember, we were once them.
